DORANCE LORZA & SEXTETO CAFÉ "The Cream Of London Salsa" - Time Out Dorance Lorza & Sexteto Cafe have been one of the leading bands in the London salsa scene since they formed in 1996. They have played at many European salsa congresses and jazz festivals and recently performed at the Cali Fair in Colombia. They’ve released 4 albums to date and been featured on many compilation albums. Dorance Lorza has worked with Los Niches, Los Del Caney, Los Titanes, Los Nemus Del Pacifico, Orquesta Canela, Santiago Ceron, La Octava Dimension, Kike Harvey, Cali Aleman and Fruko y su Orquesta. He was nominated for the LUKAS AWARDS Category Latin Musician Of The Year 2011 and 2012 Sexteto Café’s fourth album "Rumbero De Corazon" was included by Latin Beat Magazine contributor Nelson Rodriguez on the TOP TEN Best Salsa releases of 2012 www.dorancelorza.com JOHNNY G. Is known as the Latin Expert due to his knowledge of the music. He ran Mr Bongo’s record shop for 10 years, has written for “Noticias Latin America” newspaper and reviewing music releases in magazines such as ‘Straight no Chaser’ and ‘Latin London’. He has also collaborated with DJ Gerry Lyghsett at GLR Radio, presenting the weekly World Music show “Planet Mambo”. He’s DJ at “Loughborough Hotel”, “Bar Rumba”,”Havana” and “Salsa Fusion” Music Festivals, Ronnie Scotts, Ministry of Sound, Glasgow jazz festival, Royal Festival hall, Queen Elizabeth, Barbican, Glastonbury, Notting Hill Carnival, Carnaval de Cuba, etc…
