IVW20 Discovery2 ft Mount Forel, Mark Shepherd, Solpsiche, Off The Plot
Easter Extravaganza Ft Elle Exxe + The Mighty & The Moon + Laura Oakes + Stephen Langstaff -Thur 2nd April 2015
Discovery 2 has teamed up with IMC (International Music Community) to present some of the UK’s hottest emerging bands and singers. Elle Exxe with her pop sparkle and gnarled rock swagger, dynamic and emotional Alt-Country/Folk from Hull band The Mighty and the Moon, belting vocals from Liverpool’s country/pop star Laura Oakes and mesmeric hook-laden melodies from singer songwriter Stephen Langstaff plus DJ AKW.
Elle Exxe is due to release her debut dirty pop single ‘Lie To Me’ on March 23rd. Working the striking grandeur of Madonna and Lady Gaga with the knowing good time charm of Charli XCX, Elle Exxe bridges the gap between bright pop sparkle and gnarled rock swagger. The result is explosive and takes off just as quickly as the early stages of her career, which have already seen her play in support of Professor Green, MNEK and Jess Glynn. Her debut single received favourable reviews from The Line Of Best Fit and Pick Up The Headphones. This is just the beginning but, with the sparks we're seeing, Elle Exxe is set to start a fire.
“… ‘Lie To Me’ is a huge song that's ready for dancefloors, and one that won't wait to be to be given permission to enter your lives, but rather storm in and force you to move." - Laurence Day, The Line Of Best Fit
"The most talented lady I have ever met...This is what I have been waiting for!" - Frankmusik (UK producer/artist)

LAURA OAKES (Liverpool, England) - @lauraoakesmusic
Laura Oakes is a wonderfully talented country/pop singer from Liverpool who aims to bring country music to the UK masses. Having graduated from Leeds College of Music with a first class degree in Popular Music in 2012, she auditioned for The Voice the very next year and was subsequently chosen to go through to the latter stages by The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue. Reading into her heritage as a musician, her determination and roots were firmly in place at a tender age courtesy of three generations of outstanding musical talent down her family’s female line.
“One of the most exciting voices to come out of the UK Country Music scene, Laura Oakes proves that you can have a country soul no matter where you're from. Fresh but somehow familiar, watch her go!” - Baylen Leonard, Amazing Radio
“You’ve got some belt on you!” - Danny O’Donoghue, The Script
STEPHEN LANGSTAFF (Liverpool, England) - @slangstaff
Liverpool’s Stephen Langstaff continues to flourish as an accomplished performer and songwriter. With a fine blend of hook-laden melodies and well crafted lyrics, delivered by a distinctive, “spellbinding” vocal, Stephen has supported notable Merseyside acts such as The Lightning Seeds, Space, Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen) and China Crisis and regularly sells out headline shows in his hometown. He has also collaborated with some of the industries finest writers and producers on offer including Ciaron Bell (Atomic Kitten), Artful (formerly Artful Dodger) and Blue Miller (India Arie). A great talent!

"Spellbinding vocal work and laid back guitar that recalls the more credible side of Damien Rice" - Glasswerk [Live Review]
