JELZ

A rapper like no other, inspired by the likes of Tinie Tempah, J-Cole, Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Kojey Radical, Le Crae and Ryan Leslie. Jelz will be performing at Discovery with a full live band.Jelz is an artist overflowing with a zeal for music and devout compassion for people. In a world where street riots, terrorism and general unrest haunt us each day this talented rapper chooses to look at things from a positive alternative clearly spoken out from his sculptured lyrics full of hope and healing.

His laterst single Fight Till Its Over was produced by Guus Hoevenaars (Miss Saigon, Soapbox Studios (Atlanta) 50 Cent, Missy Elliot, Janet Jackson, Leona Lewis, Neyo, Usher) and Kieran Guy (Drummer for British pop singer JONES). The single also features the powerful and soulful vocals of Off Balance artist and the UK’s latest one to watch, Zulu. Its been picking up airplay on Bbc Introducing .

“LOVED Jelz! Great bloke and great performer, loved his story told through music. He was a highlight for me.” James - organiser of KingsStock Festival.

How good is that? Really looking forward to the release of the EP. That was this week’s ‘track of the week’ from Jelz, it’s a track called Still Learning” Loretta Andrews – Premier Radio & Premier Gospel presenter

“Jelz punches out his music with the confidence and passion of an emcee knowing that his flows are the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. He introduces a new song, "In My Head", from his forthcoming EP 'Barz Speaks Volumez' and is a killer cut with a haunting hook sung by a girl. Jelz' set bristles with conviction.” Tony Cummings - Cross Rhythms Music Editor.

LUNA BAY

Luna Bay continue to establish themselves as one of the UK’s brightest new indie pop bands on their latest cut ‘Hometown’. The bands first release since bursting onto the scene last year with tracks ‘Smoke And Mirrors’ & ‘Colours’. John Kennedy at Radio X and Huw Stephens on Radio 1 both count themselves as fans and the songs amassed a combined total of 1.7 million streams. While we’re constantly being told guitar bands don’t stream this is a staggering achievement for such a new act and comes down to having tracks that lyrically and melodically resonate with people.

This summer the band play a number of festivals including Y Not and Truck Festival and will be announcing Autumn tour dates very soon.

Hailing from different parts of the country and meeting at college in London, Luna Bay are lead singer and guitarist Connor O’Mara (London), bassist Sammy Penniston (Buckinghamshire), guitarist Rye Milligan (Cardigan Bay) and drummer Alex Ross (Suffolk).

"A soaring return [Smoke & Mirrors], it's impetuous nature is sure to delight fans" – Clash Magazine
